Team Building
High performing teams are fundamental to an organisation’s effectiveness. Using a wide spectrum of arts-based techniques Steps create highly interactive bespoke team events, designed to stimulate creativity and innovation.
“It was a hugely enjoyable and beneficial event. I was very impressed by Steps’ experience, their ideas, their contacts..."
Paul Harrison, Sun Microsystems
Theatre, music, art, dance, magic, video and story-telling are some of the arts based approaches that we can offer - individually or collectively - to create your programme.
Whether you are putting together a new team, fine-tuning an existing team or reinforcing relationships within virtual teams, one thing is assured: an arts based approach will reframe a team's perspective, stimulate its creativity and redefine its vision.
Team Events can also be incorporated into Conferences, Residential Courses and Development Centres.
“It was a hugely enjoyable and beneficial event. I was very impressed by Steps’ experience, their ideas, their contacts, the way they organised the event. They were very imaginative and great fun to work with.” Paul Harrison, Sun Microsystems
Conferences
We have a wealth of experience working with clients to add value and variety to conferences, using a range of creative approaches to bring key messages and themes to life. In addition to Scripted Drama, Forum Theatre and DVD we have also employed techniques such as:
- Scam ‘Expert’ Speakers
- Quiz / Game Show
- Lingo Bingo – audience have to spot key words/phrases hidden in scenes
- Invisible Theatre – this is where actors play ‘real people’ who mingle with the audience or general public to highlight key behaviours before revealing the truth
“The real value of Steps is that they bring the conference themes to life and get the audience to think about their own actions and how they might behave differently in the future.”
David Jones, London Borough of Camden
“The real value of Steps is that they move things away from internalised discussions by bringing the conference themes to life and really demonstrating good and bad behaviour in the workplace. That hits home with people. It challenges the audience and gets them to think about their own actions and how they might behave differently in the future. If you want to instil any kind of change, that’s got to be the first step.”
David Jones, London Borough of Camden
